Have you ever thought of Google doing conversational integration of Artificial Intelligence software into its Search Engine?’ Sounds interesting right? Now, when it sounds interesting to hear, then when it will happen in reality, how much more exciting will it be? Yes, you are thinking right.

In the latest interview with The Wall Street Journal, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, disclosed that Google is on its way to integrating conversational AI into the search engine. He said that with the rise in the competition in AI chatbots, Google is doing so. After the AI integration into Google, it will bring tough competition in the tech industry.

Why Is Google Integrating AI In The Search Engine?

Google is integrating AI into its search engines due to the strengthened competition in the tech industry. And this competition intensified more after the release of ChatGPT technology by OpenAI upheld by Microsoft. The Microsoft company had already added the ChatGPT feature to its Bing search engine. And this brings more fierce competition to Google.

However, Google is more cautious about the adoption of Artificial Intelligent chatbots as they may pose a threat to Google’s business. It is so because search ads are the leading source of revenue for Google, and Microsoft is staying ahead in gaining additional revenue through its Bing search engine.

There is an increase in the usage of this search engine because the users can engage themselves in the extended chat with the language model. Sundar Pichai also reveals that Google will continuously refine its standalone chatbot Bard with the new arrivals of the Artificial Intelligence models and will continue its search for the right market.

Google Tries To Keep Costs Manageable

Developing Artificial Intelligent technology requires intense computing powers to process calculations like a human. The CEO of Google, Sundar, admits that Google should try to manage the resources and costs for its AI work.

For managing the charges, the central AI unit of Google, DeepMind, and Google Brain, will collaborate and should work on creating large algorithms.

Additionally, to win a broader business, Google hopes to leverage its investments in different Artificial Intelligent models. Pichai also predicts that the small AI models will result in more beneficial results by allowing the companies to design their algorithms or enabling the users to run Google’s algorithms on their devices.

Google Enables The Access To LLMs

In March, the CEO also recently announced access to its LLMs, i.e., Large Language Models. He said that, for several developers, Google enables access to the LLMs through an API. Also, they are integrating features of Generative Artificial Intelligence into Google Docs and Gmail for the selected users.

This will add new experiments to the various tools of Google that different users and consumers use.
